When it’s really windy, I get excited about running down to the sea to see how big the waves are, forever awestruck by the sheer size and power of this huge mass of matter that could swallow me up in an instant. The other week I was looking down out of a plane window when I saw that what would up-close have been a vast and impressive cruise liner had the appearance of a rogue nail-clipping that you spot in the bath.

Well captured!

After trying to search for Ultrasound, the band…

…we’ve just discovered that tumblr is full of future-people, who already have their photograph on the internet, despite the fact that they currently exist without a name. Spread the news! Another generation is coming!

We’re usually terrible at knowing how to stand in front of a camera, but Will Barnes managed to trap us in his flat and tell us how to stand. We’ve also gotten terrible at tumblr recently, but we still enjoy flicking through this never-ending mass of creative splurges from our fellow earth tied ground monkeys.

That’s one of the most simple and comforting things about our existence I think. No matter how hard you look, or for how long, it seems that you’re never going to run out of exciting new music, art, ideas and perspectives to discover, so long as you’re alive. Exciting eh?

In one week, we’re heading off on a month-long European tour. We know we haven’t exactly been active enough to get much of a tumblr following yet, but for those few of you who are interested, updates will probably more often come from our facebook page. Though we’ll try and get the odd snap or question up on here, and keep seeing what the world of tumblr can show us and teach us. I think there’s little point in breezing around Europe and trying to use our internet front to pretend we’re a ‘big’ band who are having it all done for us. It’ll probably land somewhere between hard work and fun, possible big learning curve and all of that. Plus learning how to be extra-super nice to Andy, as it seems he’ll be doing the bulk of the driving.

I’ve still got time for a coffee and a bit of procrastination before I go and visit the property agency, so perhaps I’ll find a thing.

Interesting article about one of Paris’s’s’s’s most notorious arts squats, La Miroiterie.

We’ve been booked to play at La Miroiterie in Paris on November 29th. Any local Parisian bands/artists who would be up for supporting us, get in touch!

A Badger simulation game, which we fully expect to shatter all records. I plan to buy it s̶e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶ eight times.

If you can ignore the video of mildly sexy television doctors conversing and occasionally hitting each other, the point I’m attempting to make is that I still find ‘Final Straw’ by Snow Patrol to be a great album from start to finish and that I think this song, ‘Whatever’s left’ is a dark and moody, miniature masterpiece.
